Manipulation of Images - Magazine Advert (ANCILLARY TASK)

Here is how I created my magazine advert:

The first thing I did was insert the image I had already created for the front cover onto a blank document.

I then used the eye dropper tool and clicked on the grey background of the album cover. This would ensure that when I used the paintbrush tool to fill in the bottom part of image that was blank, it would be exactly the same colour as the colour in the album cover.

After this I again used the eyedropper tool to find the exact colour I used for the pink font on the album cover. I then made two text layers with the reviewers name and the comment they made.

I then inserted the stars underneath the two text layers, one 5 star and one 4 star.

I then entered a pink line so that there was a seperation between the album image and the bottom of the advert. I then created one more text layer saying 'out now!' and another saying 'available on iTunes' to make the advert look as realistic as possible. Here are the two final magazine advert designs.
