Manipulation of Images - Back Album Cover (ANCILLARY TASK)

Here is the back cover of my album digipak. I used Photoshop to design this, and I used tools such as the lassoo, magic wand and the spot healing brush.

To create this I used the lassoo tool to cut out the artist from the original image. I then imported that image onto a 12cm x 12cm blank square. I used the brush tool to change the background to same grey that I used on the front cover. Once I had positioned the image of the artist precisely where I wanted it, I then needed to use the text tool to type out the track names. I used the free transform tool to put the names at an angle, and positioned them so they were surrounding the image of the artist. The final thing that I did was to import the barcode and position it in the bottom left hand corner. This helped to give a realistic and convincing back album cover.
